Dear Family and Friends: Since March 2015, Jay has been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease leaving him with less than 10% kidney functions, due to FSGS, focal glomerular sclerosis.

This auto-immune illness led to the tear in his kidney issues and kidney failure. As of May, 2015, the family has chosen home hemo-dialysis to keep Jay living with kidney failure.October, 2015, Jay has reached his ideal weight goal for a kidney transplant. His wife Karen will be the first living donor to donate a kidney to Jay, after medical testing is cleared. We are writing this letter of hope to ask our friends and family for help with our transplant process and medical expenses. Currently we are looking at anti-rejection transplant meds after the transplant operation, medical expenses due to dialysis, and a reduction in income from Jay not able to physically work 40 hours anymore due to his reduced energy level from his illness. This past year Jay has missed at least 4 months of work, and the family of five have been living under one income.

As we went through this journey, we have decided to open a non-profit to help families undergoing kidney failure. We now understand the journey and would like to help other families in need of comfort during dialysis and transplant.

We want to thank you to all the friends and family who have asked us how they can help. God has helped our family in so many way, and the financial burden of a transplant is one prayer we will release to HIM. Thank you so much for your help. If you wish to donate dinners to our family as we undergo dialysis 20 hours a week in the evenings at home, please reach out to us. We are so blessed to have family and friends who are reaching out to help us. If you wish to just simply say a prayer for us, we are grateful for prayers.
